Founded in April 1988, the John Speed Agency offers a full line of insurance products and services at preferred rates. We strive to do the best job possible in every aspect of your family’s insurance needs, and at the same time we take great pride in giving superior customer service and building a strong client-agency relationship.

JOHN SPEED – John began his insurance career in San Diego with Farmers Insurance in 1988 after graduating from San Diego State University. In 1995 he moved his agency to Oxnard, CA where he has achieved Farmers Insurance Group Topper Club (Top 5%) Life and Commercial Masters, and Elite Commercial Agent. John is a current member of Elevate Success Business Group, past president of Oxnard Stars Youth Track Club & Ventura County Youth Track Conference, and the current Head Coach for Oxnard High School Track & Field – past head coach for Cross Country at Oxnard High School. John is a USATF level 3 & IAAF 5 coach and competes in the USA Master Track Program for Pacific Coast Training Club, where he is nationally and world ranked in the 100, 200, & 400 meter events. During Track & Cross Country season, John and his wife Suzanne manage Speed Timing.
ARI BERMAN – Ari joined the Speed agency back in 2019 and is an commercial agency producer. Ari has been in the insurance industry for 28 years. He started his career as a claims adjuster in 1994 and then decided to get into the sales side of the business in 2004. He was a member of the Calabasas High School boys football and basketball team and wrestled his senior year. Ari Graduated in 1994 from UNLV with a business degree in marketing. In his spare time, he enjoys sports, the beach, and spending time with his wife and 3 kids.
